(a) Administrative : Till date, the Dept. of Land Management has been able to create infrastructures like, creation of various Technical and Non-technical posts, construction of Directorate Office, construction of Survey Training Institute & Hostel. With the creation of required infrastructure like man power and survey equipments/instruments; the department could start surveying of Govt. land as well as some pockets of private land in and around the urban areas of the state and collecting land revenues. Further, to deal with the land matters in a systematic way, certain Acts/Policies on land have been enacted like; the AP (Land Settlement & Records) Act, 2000, the AP (Land Settlement & Records) Rules, 2002, the AP Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 2003 etc.

(b) Revenue : The department is making allotment of govt. lands to Central/ State Govt. depts, NGOs/ PSUs and private individuals for residential and non-residential purposes on payment of land premium and annual lease rent at govt. approved rate. The progress made during the last 11th Five Year Plan is as below:-
